Daddy's lil girl!

A while back, my dad gave me a box of old pictures of me when I was little. I wanted to make a layout of lil me and daddy. Doesn't it look like I was daddy's lil girl? Maybe it was because mom was good with the camera...:)

Love at the Lake

My bf and I got weekend off without work/school and headed to the lake last summer! San Luis Obispo is such a gorgeous town because of the lake, ocean, WEATHER, scenery...The day we went to experience all it, it was WINDY! Besides being cold and my hair being large, we had a great time. We had all three dogs and cooked lunch on our mini BBQ. We let the dogs go and they got soaked because they went into the water to chase ducks! They didn't catch any; slow swimmers. I didn't even think they liked water because they avoid baths. My bf was planning on going fishing with his good friend on the lake, but we kind of lost his friend. opps. Oh well, all and all, it was great day!
Journal: 07/07 - We finally got to escape to Lopez Lake. you panned to go fishing with John, but we couldn't find him! Instead, we BBQed and spent the day with the dogs and each other. BLISS.
Side note: I FILLED A SCRAPBOOK!!! onto book 2!

Tim Holtz Ink

I went to a class at Scrapy chick a weekend past and we played with Tim Holtz ink! This was my first time playing with this. I made a mess, but it was fun. Here is what I created: It has a fall feel to it...

So, I've had a creative block since Thursday! I FINALLY pumped out a page! Yes, success!

I made a page of my mom (I know, she looks like my sister :) and yes, I got 10 bucks to put that in my blog...) at Christmas time. We took 6 pictures before we were both "happy" with one. Journal: "December 25, 2007 - Christmas! Santa hit hard at our house, especially you mom! He must have known how great of a mother you are to all four of us! We took lots of bad pictures today, but we did end up with one perfect picture! I can remember Jake laughing at us..."

San Antonio!

I got to travel to San Antonio for the past 3 days and just LOVED it there! I went down there for a ruminant nutrition conference and to present some of my research with other professors and fellow graduate students. On down times, we went site seeing down the Riverwalk and the Alamo. It was 90 there which was a nice change from the 41 we left in Kansas! Here are some captured moments:

I just got April's Scrap for a Cure kit and odds and ends at Scrap Gal so you know what I'm doing this weekend! What a great trip!

Strike Three!

Some graduate students put an intramural softball team together and I got lucky to be asked to play. I can't play softball even if I tried really hard. I told them that I could be a body on the field, but I played catcher...We played two games and lost both of them. The first game we lost 18-2. It was so bad the stopped the game early for a mercy rule. The second game we were winning, then last inning the other team got 12 runs! Lost again 14-7. My thoughts are that we can only get better. We can't really do any worse...Here are some pictures:

I added the baby turkey pictures yesterday, but today I thought they were to cute NOT to scrap. So I did :)



Journal: "Hello...that's what all of these baby turkeys are saying! They are so curious that they came right up to the camera and started pecking away...Jake, you are so lucky that you have a passion for your job. I think you are pretty lucky you get to go to work to those so adorable turkeys. Keep up the hard work and watch them grow! (these are 3 day old baby turkeys, poults. They are very soft due to the down feathers. They will grow to near 50 lbs!)"



BTW, there were 18,000 poults in that barn! (I thought there were 5,000)

Peep!

I wanted to share some pictures my dear boyfriend sent to me today! These are pictures of baby turkeys (poults, but I like baby turkeys better)! They are three days old! He said they were so curious that they kept pecking at the camera. Hence, the up front close-up!

Can anyone guess how many are in the barn?

Exploring...

Instead of working today (guilty), I've been playing with my new site! I'm exploring all the fun options! My next goal is to come up with a fun tittle banner! That might take me a while, but good to have goals! I felt like a break so I scrapped a page! It is a picture of my cousin and me at my graduation. I experimented with the ribbon, but think it came out nicely. She and the rest of her family flew out just to see me walk. I'm so special. Even though we are years apart, we are more alike then the eye can see!

Journal: Bianca and I celebrating my college graduation! This picture reminds me of how much alike we really are! Here's my list:

Post Numero Uno!

Cow Bella is now OPEN! I've never had a blog before and very excited to start this! I think this might be a new addiction! Hopefully, I can figure it out. I think I'll have a go!
