Renaissance Faire

Today, I went to the Renaissance faire!

It was a lot of fun. Here are some photos.

This guy was a pirate and he brought his ship. It was neat!

I loved the way he dressed!

I met up with the girls that I used to babysit all through college.

They have gotten so big!

I can't believe I was potty training all of them!

Here is a photo with my professor as an undergrad.

Believe it or not, she got me into the faire!

The dresses we have on have lots of layers!

First we put on bloomers (underware that are like capri's)

Then we put on a wire hoop.

Then we have an under skirt which is our red that is showing.

Then we put a bum role on to make our butts look bigger *haha*

Then we put on our skirt, which is our black skirt showing.

Up top, we have a corset, a blouse over, then a corset top which is our black top over it all.

Crazy huh?

It was over 100 degrees out so believe it or not, we were missing 3 layers!Lastly, we shot archery!

This was my first time.

It was so much fun! I shot at a foam deer and hit him twice!

I shot about 20 times though.I'm beat. It was super hot and wearing all that clothing...I'm beat.

Easter plus CHALLENGE!

Jake and I travelled up north with our pups so see my family.

We had a great time up there!

We went and saw the movie Monsters vs Aliens with the boys.

They got a kick out of it!

Jake and I did too...

Well, sad to say, but all my pictures were deleted of my camera.

ALL 242 pictures!

I'm really quite depressed about it.

I'm not sure how I could have done that, but I guess I hit the "delete all" button.

So, I don't have any photos to share.

On a happy note!

Jake finally fixed my sewing machine!

Come to find out, I just threaded my bobbin wrong.

Yeah, silly.

I beat myself up pretty good already.I do have a Monday Morning Challenge for you though!

LOOK WHAT I JUST BOUGHT!!!

I have been eyeing this purse for 4 months now!

I was trying really hard to drop the hint to Jake, but he wasn't having it, so I just bought it myself!

I'm so excited and can't wait until it comes on friday!!!

It matches my hobo wallet that he had bought me for christmas two years ago.

Lamps and presents!

So these are the lamps

that Jake and I have been working

on for ages!

This is our before shot. We wrapped

them in newspaper so we could paint the brass.

Jake then hung them in the tree! He said it was easier to spray paint.

They looked like giant ornaments!

Here is the finished product! I'm loving them. I just need lamp shades...

Look what I received in the mail!!!!

One is for my mother, but she is going to have to pry it out of my hands!

New week!

Here is to a new week! Jake and I had the whole day together! We look forward to "my" days off of work. I've been working long hours, many days. Today I made the day all about him!

We watched Mama Mia this morning!

It was a good musical, but not sure we are musical people...

We then went grocery shopping!!! We really enjoy doing that together.

WHY? not sure.

Then, it was backyard chillin' time!

IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

It made me want to take photos.

He wanted to involve the dogs.

Kind of like a family picture!

Tonka took off for her ball!
