Weekend!

I'm so glad it is Saturday! Today, I'm lounging, even though I have a pile of laundry to do and a house to clean! There is always tomorrow :) I was thrilled that I got to complete a few layouts:

This is a layout of my two lil bros. I love them so much! In every picture, I think they have angel faces (even with a mouth full of water *giggle*).
This is an older picture of my bf and I. We were at his best friends wedding. We took a road trip all the way up to Ferndale, CA through the redwoods. It was so beautiful! Here in Texas, they play a lot of red dirt country which I'm loving! I fell upon this song and these quoted lyrics just hit home. The rest of the song is playing in my blog on the side if you care to listen :)
Thanks for looking and have a great one!

YAY! Layouts!!

Yesterday was my first day at my new job/school!! I got all my paper work done around 11:30AM and then I got put to work! No easy break! Lately, I've just been doing paper research i.e. sitting at a desk, reading and typing, and not doing ANY hard labor. I got a work out yesterday! I wasn't used to it at all, so much, that I crashed as soon as I got home! BTW, on my way home, Lubbock weather took a hit on my car! There isn't any drainage here, and we got thunderstorms pretty bad. It was flooded to the top of my tires! I was a little nervous; I thought my car was going to stall. I made it home safely though. whew!

I had a long day of laborous work again today, but it was a little easier today. After though, I felt like shopping and found a local scrapbook store and went to town! I made this layout today with my new paper and goodies:

The chatterbox paper is felt! I was excited.

These two layouts I submitted to SFAC and I was honored enough to be asked to be guest designer!! Look out month of August!

That's all for now! Have a good week!

Lone Star State!

So I know I haven't posted in a while...Here is my update! I moved from the wheat state to the lone star state! I'm loving it so far! There is a huge mall, it is dry here (9%!), lots of people, an airport within 20 min, and 6 hours closer to home! I had my bf help me move, and we had a blast on our 17 hour drive down to Texas. Towards the end, we got a little crazy in our talks (and pictures). I think our tiredness was kicking in! Lots of giggles between us about the oddest things. Right between Amarillo and Lubbock, we stopped at the nicest truck stop. It even had wireless internet! The wind was rough though! I had to work every muscle just to get back to the truck. It felt like I was walking in water. We saw this grill in the shape of Texas and everywhere possible, was the Texas flag or Texas star. It was pretty cool how proud this state is! One last thing that blew my mind; we arrived in lubbock, and we were so lost because the street lights were horizontal! I'm still not used to it. I'm that car that stops at every stop light because I'm so confused on whether I can go or not. My friend told me that the wind is so bad, they have to have the lights like that to better the chance of them blowing off in the wind. Here's some pictures of our adventures:Thanks for looking!
